Last weekend I was feeling my belly and felt a really hard little bump on the lower right side. I was freaking out a little bit because normally I'm just all squish. I made Dan feel it and then a minute later, it was gone!! We are guessing it was baby's butt! It was about the size of a lime I think. It was so cool!!!

| I feel like my bump is starting to show a little bit this week. It still comes and goes though depending on how full my stomach is, how bloated I am, etc. |
I've been dying to tell the world that we went off base to an OB clinic to have a gender ultrasound done on Labor Day! People had told me about this place and that they were pretty certain of the gender around 15 weeks so we decided to go on Labor Day when I was 15.5 weeks according to my first dating ultrasound. The clinic was super nice and clean. The room with the ultrasound was amazing because they had a tv on the wall for me to see while I was laying down. I loved that! First, the doctor showed us the 2-D ultrasound and said "I don't see penis so I think girl! 75% sure but come back in 4 weeks." Then, he switched over to 3-D and it was AMAZING! Baby girl was 4 ounces he said which should be right on track with how far along I am. We could clearly see her eye, nose, mouth, and chin. I've always thought other people's babies in 3-D looked a little strange, but I absolutely loved seeing our baby like that. It was incredible how much detail they reveal that 2-D ultrasounds just cannot do. This made her seem so much more real because even the 2-D makes her look less human.
EEEK!!!! We really thought it would be a girl and that is really all I've ever pictured. Dan and I have been in love with the same girl name since we got married too (and could NEVER agree on a boy name), so we are thrilled! Now I can start buying bows and dresses and all that cutesy stuff that girls get to enjoy. We even bought her first outfit that night and looked at paint for the nursery. Of course, we won't go too crazy until we have our next ultrasound.
What else is there really to tell after that?? Dan had a work event at the beach on Thursday and had Friday off, so he had a great long weekend! Saturday night we went bowling with another couple and Sunday we went to a friend's house to watch "God's Not Dead" which is a great movie! Then, Labor Day was pretty much centered around the clinic. It was a great weekend!

I also have finished my first few days with my kids in the classroom. The first day was....well... not like I expected! haha. Last year, my class was extremely quiet the first few weeks so I thought that it would be the same this year. Lesson learned- leave all expectations at the door! This year's group is very social and we will spend quite a bit of time working on social skills, school skills, and following rules. But overall, I love the kids so far. Today I had to just stop and watch them and smile because they were having so much fun playing a game and are so excited when they do well. One kid loves to show me his work and ask "Are you proud of me Ms. Stone?!?". Melts my heart :)
That's about all for this week! It was one busy, tiring, happy week!!
