After Christmas, we enjoyed eating out at a few Mexican restaurants and Bill Miller's BBQ. We played cards, hung out at our house, and did a little shopping.

On December 30, we went down to the Riverwalk where my family was all staying for 2 nights. We enjoyed good food, walking down the Riverwalk, taking the boat tour, walking to the Alamo, and seeing the beautiful Christmas lights at night! It was a fantastic last day with the family.

After walking around all day, visiting the Alamo and taking the boat tour, we went back to the hotel for a little dinner. Finally, we took one more walk down the Riverwalk to see the Christmas lights. I loved that! Then, we said bye to my family. It was such a great visit!

Just before turning 11 months, Emma had a fever around 102 and was super off for the day. She was just burning up after her morning nap and even fell asleep in the Boba at Target (that NEVER happens). Then, she cuddled with me (also never happens), fell asleep on me, and went to bed by like 5 pm. It was a very weird day for her. I did enjoy the cuddles, but as you can see, she did not enjoy being put down that day. Poor girl. That was her first real fever.
Last but not least, Dan promoted to Captain this month!!!! We enjoyed going to his promotion and meeting his professors and a few classmates. Way to go babe!
