Ava’s 3rd month

3 months old (May 26-June 26)

Another quick month has come and gone with our sweet, calm baby love! She weighs 10 lbs and 11 oz! This month came with Ava’s first laugh and a true interest in people. This makes it so fun to chat with her!

                      1 month                                2 months                                   3 months

On the day she turned 2 months, we went to a wedding for Dan's "boss" at the clinic.

May 27th, we took Michelle out for an early birthday / late Mother's Day dinner. Yummy Italian food!

9-10 weeks
-Stopped pumping at night and she will eat well and latch well and go back to sleep afterwards on her own!
-She will grab my fingers and hold on.
-Emma can make her smile!
-Spent Memorial Day at Canyon Lake with Nona

10-11 weeks
-Moves legs and arms in excitement when I go up to her in the swing or her bed
-Sleeps 8-9 hours
-Had her first cold for a few days (99 fever, congested, cough and sneeze and slept 11.5 hours)
-Sleeps in the wrap on our morning walks with a new neighbor friend

11-12 weeks
-Slept 11 hours then started going to bed between 7-8, sleeping til 3, feeding and back to sleep for 3-4 hours.
-She can be chatty and loves staring at me and interacting and holding my finger.
-Doesn’t cry unless she’s overtired or hungry
-1st laugh! After eating sitting on the couch, I was just laughing and sticking my tongue out and she laughed at me a few times!
-Interested in bouncy seat birds and stares intently at them
-Officially out of newborn clothes and in 0-3/ 3 month clothes
-Children's Museum with friends, Aerial Athletics gym (sleeps in carrier a lot while big sister does fun things...)

12-13 weeks
-Slept 11.5 hours, 11 h 50 m, 11 h 40 m - wow!
-Focused on eye contact during some nursing sessions. Distracted already??
-Still not great at tummy time. Doesn’t lift her head super far off the ground and doesn’t seem motivated either
-Typical schedule: up for the day around 7. Morning nap 30-60 minutes. Afternoon nap 2-3 hours. Cat nap sometime early evening. Down for bed between 7-8 and will sleep an average of 11 hours a night, sometimes getting up for 1 feeding in that time and sometimes sleeping the whole time! Eats every 3-4 hours.

Birthday party for a church friend

Sunday School Pool Party

This isn't even ALL of the kids from our adult Sunday School group! We are SO going to miss this group that is like our family here.

Ava is just over 1 month older than little Millie

That's it for this month! I love how she gets to experience so many things already when I barely left the house to do things with Emma as a baby. Having an older kid forces you to get out of the house or you will go crazy! Is that just me? :D
