Sleeping pretty well. I now have to get up and go to the bathroom 2-3 times before getting up for the day. TMI?

Best moment this week:
Sharing our news with some of our best friends on island and getting a wonderful reaction!

No

Food cravings:
Nothing really this week surprisingly. Still on a sunflower seed kick though.

Anything making you queasy or sick:
Smells are starting to get to me this week- like the garbage disposal stench.

Gender:

8 more weeks until the gender ultrasound!!! I can't wait.

Symptoms:
Not one of my better weeks! Monday and Tuesday I felt pretty crummy for most of the day and even at night too. I woke up Wednesday morning feeling bad, threw up, and continued to feel nauseous even after eating a big breakfast. Normally after that I feel fine, but not Wednesday! I've also had a few minor cramps/pains but nothing lasting too long. Then Thursday I just felt tired and energyless all day and couldn't seem to shake it. It reminded me of the early days when I was so drained!

Mood:
Feeling green

Looking forward to:
Announcing the pregnancy!

Okay, so we didn't have a prune so here is the lime again! It was a little big last week anyways.

Saturday we went to dinner with some friends and at the end told them the news. I LOVE watching people's reactions when they find out, and this one just happened to be the best yet. I love a little clapping spaz out! Haha. It makes me so happy to see other people so happy for us.

I started a class this week on Common Core Reading standards and another one on Common Core Writing standards. My teaching license expires next May and I need around 6 credits to renew. Another teacher told me about this website that goes through the University of San Diego that is basically for license renewals. They are graduate credit courses but can't actually be applied towards a Master's degree. They were much cheaper than anything else and should be fairly easy. I'm excited though because I really do like learning teaching techniques and staying fresh- I just don't like the assignment part! Hopefully they provide me with some valuable information as we all transition into Common Core Standard madness.

Pebble also received her/his first gift this week!! It was super fun opening a box from Nonna (Dan's mom) with stuffed animals, a book, and some Syracuse gear from Aunt Katie. We also ordered a glider!! I know it seems so early, but they don't sell them here and it will take 3-6 months to get here. I'm due in 6 1/2 months so I didn't want to risk not having it when baby comes. We are super grateful to Dan's mom for buying that for us as an early Christmas present! I personally hope it gets here in 3 months so I can try it out. :)

I also had my first OB appointment on July 30th for my 12 week checkup. I find it so strange here that they don't see you until then but I guess they have their reasons. The first tech that tried to find a heartbeat couldn't and said since I was only 10w6d from the dating ultrasound, it wouldn't pick it up for another week or so. I was so bummed out! I thought that would be such great reassurance for me. Then, the doctor came in and talked for a while about some of the basics and answered a few of my questions. She gave me the results of all the blood work I did around 6 weeks and everything came back just fine! She also wanted to try the Doppler again, and I am SOOOO glad she did because she found little Pebble's heartbeat!!!! I don't think that will ever get old. That is what just about brings tears to my eyes- its just such a precious sound and indescribable if you haven't been pregnant before. My next appointment will be at 16 weeks which happens to be on our 3 year anniversary! Yippee!
